Studio Policies

The Hive Pilates Studio
Last Updated: December 29, 2025

Welcome to The Hive Pilates Studio. These policies are designed to create a safe, respectful, and consistent experience for our community while supporting our instructors and studio operations.

By booking or attending a class, you agree to the following policies.

Studio Etiquette & Preparation

  • Grip socks are required for all classes for safety and hygiene. Grip socks are available for purchase at the studio.

  • Please wear form-fitting athletic attire so instructors can safely cue alignment and movement.

  • Bring a water bottle — we offer filtered water for refills.

  • Fresh towels are provided for all clients.

First-Time Clients

  • Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first class to allow time for check-in, paperwork, and equipment orientation.

  • For safety reasons, late entry is not permitted for first-time clients. If you arrive late to your first class, your credit will be returned and we’ll help you rebook.

Class Arrival & Late Entry

  • If you are running late, please call or text the studio.

  • A 5-minute grace period is allowed after class start time.

  • Clients arriving more than 5 minutes late will not be permitted to join class, and the class credit will be forfeited. This policy is strictly enforced for safety reasons.

Class Limit

  • Members are limited to one class per day, unless otherwise specified by their membership or package.

Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Classes must be canceled or rescheduled at least 12 hours before class start time via the app or website.

  • Late cancellations (within 12 hours): $25 fee. The class credit is retained.

  • No-shows: $25 fee, and the class credit is forfeited.

  • If you are ill, injured, or experiencing an emergency, please contact us at hello@thehivepilatesstudio.com. We aim to be fair and understanding when possible.

Waitlist Policy

  • Waitlists are managed through the app or website.

  • If a spot opens, members are automatically enrolled based on position in the waitlist.

  • Auto-enrollment closes 90 minutes before class start time.

  • Once a member is moved from the waitlist into a class, that reservation is considered confirmed and is subject to the same late cancellation and no-show policies as any booked class.

  • Please remove yourself from a waitlist if you no longer wish to attend.

Standby Policy

  • Standby spots may become available 5 minutes before class if registered clients do not arrive.

  • Being physically present in the studio does not count as a confirmed booking unless added by staff.

Membership Pauses (Freezes)

  • Members are eligible for one complimentary pause per calendar year, up to 6 weeks.

  • Additional pauses are subject to fees:

    • Second pause: $50

    • Each additional pause: $100

  • All pauses extend the membership term by the same duration.

  • Pause requests must be submitted at least 7 days prior to your billing date by emailing hello@thehivepilatesstudio.com.

Membership Changes & Cancellations

  • All membership changes (including freezes, upgrades, downgrades, or cancellations) must be submitted in writing by emailing hello@thehivepilatesstudio.com.

  • Requests must be received 30 days prior to your next billing date.

  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

  • Confirmation will be sent once your request is processed.

Payments & Refunds

  • The Hive Pilates Studio is a cashless studio.

  • All classes and memberships must be prepaid using a valid credit or debit card.

  • All sales are final. Refunds are not provided except where required by law or at the studio’s discretion in extenuating circumstances.

Class Schedule Changes

  • Class schedules and instructors are subject to change.

  • If The Hive cancels a class, all affected clients will be notified, and class credits will be automatically returned.

Photography, Video & Social Media

  • Photography or video recording during class is not permitted without prior written approval from studio management.

  • Selfies before or after class are welcome, provided other members consent to being included.

  • Unauthorized recording may result in removal from class or termination of membership.

Communication

  • For all account-related requests, please contact us via email at hello@thehivepilatesstudio.com.

  • We do not process account changes via social media messages.
